I bought 08 and it was crazy, not sure how much a fan i am to buy 09 but seeing as the hawks should have a good team i might have to. Its either NBA or NHL

I'll probably pick it up tomorrow. I'd be interested in a league if you know of one that's looking for players.

NHL 2k9 changed their controls again this year, simplified everything and made the default game speed a lot faster as well. The presentation in 2k9 looks way better but after playing the demos I think NHL09 is still a much better game.

Just bought NHL 09 and the game is freaking awsome. I know we dont have many puckheads in DSL but you get to create a club and have as many players as you want. Than you challenge other clubs up to 6 vs. 6 action. It keeps all records and you move up the rankings as your club. Also you play as your created player all game and get attributes on your style of play. Best multi player sports game out.

Ive not got into much single game play but online vs. matches are also a step up. They did what Madden should of done in not mess what the graphics so much and get the gameplay right. Ive scored on all types of goals from deflections in front to wrist shots over both the shoulder and glove, and slapshots. There doesnt seem to be a money goal as of yet(or glitch goal). Even if you dont like hockey this game could suck you in.

Dang would prefer NHL over NBA seeing as the HAWKS will make the playoffs and the Bulls wont (yep thats right, 9-12-08 i'm calling the bulls season a lost cause) but for now i'm good with Madden and Tiger even thou i never get to play Sad

but dont be shocked if you see me bust out Toews and Kane Smile..........by the way did they give the hawks young stars any love? Or perhaps a decent overall team rating

I really don't see the Hawks making the playoffs. They will be better but I don't think they're better then any of the eight teams that made the playoffs. If any new team from the West makes the playoffs I'd think it would be the Oilers.

As long as we're making predictions I'm going to say the Flames are finally going to live up to expectations and bring the cup back to Canada.

Steel did you just join a random EASHL league? If you have an actual league I'd be interested in joining.

dispite there recent struggles the Hawks are looking good. Love the beating they layed down last night....6-0, 7-0 can't recall but they seem to be an elite team that may get a top seed
