I have the 9th pick and am on the clock - so far these players have been take. Snake draft with 10 teams.

1.A-Rod
2.David Wright
3.Jose Reyes
4.M. Cabrera
5.Hanley Ramirez
6.Ryan Howard
7.Johan Santana
8.Chase Utley
9.????

Stat wise the best players are Albert Puljos - Matt Holiday - Jimmy Rollins - Prince Fielder

Was thinking Holiday then in round 2 take either Puljos - Fielder to get a good power hitting 1B. Or if they are gone then perhaps Rollins - Carl Crawford or Soriano...........anyone have some insight??? Bad thing is i need to know within a few hours of who to take

yeah i was leaning that way myself......just needed someone else to agree hahaha depending on who is taken 10 and 11 i may go Soriano at 12. Hate cub but playing at wrigley he could put up huge numbers

This is actually sort of crazy, I joined with a guy in my office and its all people who work with our company. Rather then a Live draft they started this past monday and After the first guy picked the next guy has 24 hours to make his selection. The first few went by fast but not sure how long this will take......1, 2, 3 weeks? 24 rounds i think with 10 teams so should be fun.

Could be an idea we use for future games/drafts

ohh yea...he now has Troy Glaus to protect him, granted he can stay healthy....i also like Soriano. Dude was hurt most of last year, so this year look for 35 HR, 100+ ribi, 35+ stolen bases

yea buddy thats what i was thinking, plus in Wrigley he should be able to kill the ball. I think the points are Average - RBI - HR - SB - HITS........not sure on scoring cause have never done a fantasy Baseball before. I do want to try and get Cano tho, he should have another solid year

i think Magglio Ordonez would be good pick as well, maybe in the 2 or 3rd round....i think he batted over .344 last year. With the acquisition of Miggy, it only adds to his value.

dayum Danza...watch you know about Chone Figgins aka Yakee killer...That dude is good, i think he plays every position except 1b and catcher, really good utitliy guy....but b/w him and Cano, you gotta go with Cano. Dude was a beast in his first two seasons in the major, look for more power and rbi's this year.

i became a fan of chone cause of MVP 05 hahaha dude could play several positions as well as power from both sides/ hit for average and speed. Cano had a down season last year but in that lineup he will get his share of pitches to hit. Not sure who was taken (should know soon) but here's Walkers Rangers so far.....

1.Albert Puljos
2.Alfonso Soriano
3.Brandon Webb -
4. hope to take Cano.......

I think any major leaguer would take Cano's "down year" from 2007.

2007: Avg. .306 HR 19 RBI 97

2006: Avg. .342 HR 15 RBI 78

Sure his average went down, but thats becasue his first two months he was in a severe slump..dude basically batted over .350 for the remain 4 months to get his avg. over .300.....this guy is good man! I don't see him slumping for that long of a period in 08' so Im expecting great numbers from him.

yeah i know lol Jeter and Posado picked it up last year as far as average went. This team will score and they will score alot. I'm looking for a good combo of both years - .328 AVG 15-25 HR 85-95 RBI..........might be hard depending where in the order they bat him thou. I am guessing Damon and Jeter are 1-2 so Cano will bat 8-9? If so those numbers are HUGE for the bottom of the lineup

wow...looking good man.

you got Brandon Webb and Carlos Z....impressive 1-2 combo.

Who the heck is Bobby Jenks...Is it that fat closer on the White Sox who gets overly excited when he gets a save?

Bobby Jenks is the alcoholic fat 100mph throwin closer on the Sox that shakes like he is going thru withdrawl each time he goes on the mound.......41 straight batters retired (tied a major league record) and i have to check the stats but he has recorded close to 40 saves in each of the past two seasons. May have been early to take him but with LineBrink - Dotel setting him up and The O.C (Orlando Cabrera) and Nick Swisher batting 1-2 i think the sox will be able to put enough runs on the board and with good pitching and D Jenks should be able to dominant as a closer.

With good closers/relief pitchers at a premium i had to act fast. Papplebon was taken early that round so i thought the closers would start to be taken off the board quick

I got him in the 9th round, wanted Nick Swisher but he was taken 3 picks before me. Guy before me took Rich Hill (cubs) and i went with Lincecum then Sheets. Hoping sheets can bounce back but to his credit none of his injuries the past 2 years were to the arm plus its a contract year. Almost took Chris Young but passed. Next pick i gotta address 3B and SS......but might take Crede and Fields and leave everyone wondering what im doin lol
