Lakers are 4real
When healthy this is a team that can stand toe to toe with the best. Having already beat the Suns (2x) Spurs - and Pistons the Lakers are showing why they are still one of the story franchises in the league. They were 13 games over .500 last year before all the injuries started to take thier toll. Odom is healthy and playing at a high level - Bynum (not curry) = BEAST , Kobe is Kobe.......the bench and the role players are fitting into the system nicely. Fisher is playing like the fisher of old, Walton is even showing people why the lakers resigned him. Still not sure if they can maintain this pace but i wouldn't be surprise to see them finish with home court thru the playoffs and perhaps finish within the top 4 in the West

Re: Lakers are 4real
uh-huh. My Lakers are legit this year...finally. Bynum is a force. He got more double-doubles than In N' Out, he protects the rim better than Danza's chastity belt, and I haven't seen improvement like this since McLovin's game in Superbad. Andrew "McLovin" Bynum. I like the way that sounds.
Fisher is back in the purple and gold like he never left, and he's found a stroke that has him at almost 50% from the floor. He's actually a really good dude too. I met the guy once and was impressed with how down to earth he was.
And what about Bench Mob? 1-12 the Lakers are as deep as any squad I've seen in the league. Farmar, Radman, Sasha, Ronny...these dudes are pure energy and they keep the whole team loose and having fun. You gotta like to see a team relaxed to the point Phil can even begin to think about even sporting a red bow tie.
Ariza is proving to be the right move...he's young, athletic and a former Bruin. If he ever develops a midrange game he can be another Gerald Wallace type player...with a midrange game.
Odom finally looks like he fits in the system for once. I credit that to Bynum's development. Having a dominant presence in the paint means Odom can split time defensively controlling the weak side boards and and getting out on the perimeter with his length to give shooters fits. On offense he is the perfect point forward with one of the most complete set of low post moves you will find.
And then there's KB24. What can I say that hasn't already been said?
This team has the best chemistry I've seen since Rick Fox, Brian Shaw, Ron Harper, and JR Rider were on the team. With the best coach of all time on the bench, this is a team that can take out anyone in the West in a seven game series. The Suns know that, the Spurs know it, and so do the Mavs.

Re: Lakers are 4real
Ariza was perhaps one guy the knicks should have kept but all you heard was he had no Offense...........who on the knick does jajaja I likes Ariza - i think he tore the bulls up or had a game winner his rookie year. I am liking what i am seeing from the laker camp. Wish they would bring back my fav laker - Stanislov Medvendanko who is a free agent in 2k8 in case you guys need a quality scrub. Almost single handedly beat Detroit in game 5 of the finals with 12 in the first quarter

I don't even have a response to that. If anyone here can render you utterly speechless, it's Danza...this guy's good!

Re: Lakers are 4real
Lakers vs Celtics this Sunday in LA.................call me crazy but Lakers will win and Kobe will go for 40+ but may be outshined by Bynum who will go for 22pts 15rbs KG-esque if you will
Re: Lakers are 4real
I hope you are right Danza…who else are "mighty" celtics playing on their west coast trip. I hope it inlcudes teams like the Spurs, Suns, and Mavericks. I want to know if they really are this good…

Re: Lakers are 4real
think they had a 4 game set, beat Seattle last night and want to say they play Sacramento Queens - Clippers/Warriors then Lakers.........don't think they will make it to Texas
Re: Lakers are 4real
If there was a way to scroll down, I bet we'd see an appearance from Man At Arms, well, doing something with his arms. Now I know why they called these guys "masters" of the universe...ja.
BTW does this guy have the biggest right testicle ever or is it just me? And I though I had balls. Nice to see he keeps it shaved for the ladies though.
