EA to Buyout 2K??

According to this article, it's eventually gonna happen this year. I hope they don't keep the gameplay of the Live series.

If they can update the rosters more often than 2k, that would be nice.

Be afraid. Be very afraid. We all need to buy stock in Take 2 and resist EA's attempt to pry it from us. As long as they can't get a majority shareholder position, they can't boot the 2k execs. Plus if we are shareholders, then we would have something to say so maybe we should start a DSL Investment Fund to save 2K from the evil clutches of EA.

I don't think there is anything to worry about. If EA buys 2K then why would they not want 2K to keep making its game as well. Instead of competing against them they will now be making double the profits which EA would love. "Cash rules everything around me, Cream..... get the money.......dolla dolla bill ya'll jajaja

Wishfull thinking i guess.......all signs point to EA dropping every 2K game they have. Great games but EA is better run. Glitches in games are corrected - roster updates are made more then two times a year - Players in the NBA are actually in the game (Ronnie Turriuf was never in 2k7) and the list goes on and on.....from customer support to online play to anything you can think of. 2K may have the better gameplay (in NBA) but EA still tops them just about everywhere else.........

tru tru tru......its hard to say. They have the game play and nothign else while EA has it all and no gameplay.........I think i posted this before but didn't someone from 2K or the company that designs the game leave to go to EA this year? Perhaps without him 2K will struggle so they want to sell now before they lose any $$$.......have faith in EA and they will have faith in you jajaja

in a perfect world, where DSL will all be happy campers....

- Will keep majority of the gameplay of 2K8
- Will utilize the graphics of NBA Live 08
- Will update their rosters as often as the Madden series
- Will keep the Leagues and actually run them the right way with everything working, like the draft order, etc.

This is all in a "perfect world" . Let's see what happens. NBA Live 08 did not have 2Ks gameplay but it did have some good features (like FIBA, better graphics). Hopefully they blend everything real nicely to make the best Basketball game ever on the 360...only time will tell...
