THE FINAL FOUR!!!!!!!!!!

Thats right the DSL DRAFT LEAGUE is down to the final four.
The Matchups:

Cavs(Steel) vs. Bucks(AD) and Nets(Solidus) vs. Bulls(The Godfather)

Cavs vs. Bucks should be a great series as it seems that every game I play vs. AD comes down to the final minute. This is a match-up of the leagues top player vs. a team of superstars. Will we be able to find an answer for D-Wade. Will Donkey be able to stop THE FREAK and CP.

My prediction: Cavs in 5

Nets vs. Bulls: Dont know much about either team except GD got the unstoppable force in KG but people have marveled on how well Solidus knows his shooters.

My prediction: Bulls in 5 GD doesnt lose at home.

Please turn your attention to the matter of Vinsanity vs AD on the 2k site. Vinsanity alleges that he tried on multiple occasion to schedule games with AD but AD was too busy with Halo 3 or Gears of War matches which caused delays. Vinsanity says he was ready willing and able to play, and that he found AD online but that AD was unwilling and unable due to prioritizing these other games over his playoff match up. Now Vinsanity feels like he was screwed and doesn't want to come back to our next league. None of this sits right with me at all.

Yikes.....drama drama drama.......I can agree that i see AD on GOW alot but in the past when i have sent a message about a game he was usually good with saying yes but lettign me know that he was in the middle of a game and that he would be a few minutes which i understand. Seeing how this is a playoff game it should take higher priority over a regular season game but with all due respect we just can't assume he will drop everything just to play his games. If a deadline was set or he agreed to play then backed down that is a different case but if Vinsanity signed on and saw AD playing a game other then 2K it can be a touchy subject. What if Steel is in a NHL game or Precise is in a MLB game????

Seems like its his word against AD so how ever you guys handle it is cool with me. Would hate to lose someone from the league over something like this but also we can't have the playoffs drag out forever........doubl edge sword my friend

Yeah, I agree with TD. Even if they advanced it, they can still meet up in the lobby and play with the same settings with fatigue on of course. I say, let the guys play it out correctly (this is the playoffs so it should be given more attention). They definitely had tough times meeting due to Time Zones. Let's give them them until this Friday night. If someone can move the schedule back, that would be even better so we can capture thier stats...

The issue is that I can't reset the games during the playoffs when the round has advanced.

Not sure who said it but this sort of thing could have been avoided by using either the 2K site or this site. I know many people don't post or check it but AD was active and Vin had a few post but he should have said something about AD not playing his games cause he had clan matches to play. Now we advance thinking Vin was not able to play but according to him he was and they just couldn't find a time that was good for the two of them. Not placing blame on either but seems all we can do is learn from this and hope there are no hard feelings for either guy towards one another.

Plus in reality Steel will win 3-0 or 3-1 so its not a big thing jajajajaja j/k

No problem about not being able to reset their games. Someone please message them to have them meet up in the lobby to play a custom game. HONESTY System. They can report on the score on the 2K site...

Since it's the final four we should play it right. In the meantime, I can still play Alsolidus and keep the stats =)

good point TD, but yeah, looks like that may be the case...hmmm...I will see if I can rewind it.

you cannot rewind it but I can adjust the brackets after the fact. So if for example Vin wins, then I can put him in the correct bracket.

Yeah, I just spoke with Vinsanity and from what I gather, they really need to play their series. On Friday he should have played another game but AD had to go because he had a clan match or whatever. Then they were unable to meet up on that Sunday. Vince then finds out he loses the series. Even if Vince may lose the round, at least give him a shot since he did try to play as many games as he could and invested in the time to do so.

yea...i agree. If he made efforts to play with AD, he should be given a fair chance to win the series.

agreed i just put a big post on the 2k site on what I was thinking when advancing.

One thing that should come out of this is that we are all adults and for that reason most have more important stuff going on so when a schedule time is agreed upon you should try to meet that time.

True true true. We all need to respect each other and we all need to emphasize a similar degree of priority particularly when it's playoff time. Your clan can live without you for one night Gears of War especially if it's the only time that your opponent and you can get online at the same time.

Also, guys, go check out the info for the DSL DRAFT SEASON 2 on the league website. I nominated 12 GMs as shoe ins for the new league and I want to restrict it to a maximum of 18 teams this time while expanding the regular season to 32 and the playoffs to just 8 teams. There are 10 bubble teams so I went ahead and detailed reasons they were bubble teams. Bottom line is that we have some decisions to make on this and we need to come up with some policies and agreements to keep everyone on the same page. If you have any doubts that the bubble teams can live up to the basic commitments being asked of them, please express that opinion. This is our reality TV moment when Randy, Paula, and Simon choose the best of the best. Now is the time to put together a league to end all leagues.

Ok, after all the crazyness we still have the same final four. That is good they got to play their games and noone was a shoe in on the final four. Good luck to AD (or is he ED now?), STEEL, ALSOLIDUS & GD360 on their CHAMPIONSHIP RUN!

This has been a crazy season....luckily we got it moving...

Unfortunately I'm super busy recently, please bear with me but I will finish this series. I messaged Al that I may be able to get a game in on Wed/Fri Night. If not by this weekend, by next weekend for sure!! Some crazy times with the family but it will all iron out in a couple weeks.

I hate the servers big time this year. So far in my series with ED:

Game 1: I was up by 25+ towards the end of the second: Server disconnect

Game 2: He wins a close game: Server almost crashed but got going on countdown

Game 3: Im up by 15+ in the second: Server disconnect

So series is 1-0 him.

How about a potential rule for next league, if you are up by more than 20 and the server crashes anytime during the second half you get the win.

I can see where this would be a good rule but lets not forget Precise coming back from down 10 with under a minute to force 2 OT's and pulling off the victory. I would rather not have a rule like this but knowing the 2K servers it might need to be revisited......maybe a 4th quarter rule. Almost like in baseball that says once 5 innings have been played the game is official.
