NBA 2k9 League

alright after playing Huda last night(Knicks vs. Grizzlies) im really anxious to play some league games....we played on All-star settings and we both agreed that jumpshots were falling to easily...I will set the league up as Hall of Fame and hopefully adjust sliders along the way.


Since we are really adamant about actually finishing a league this year, i think this is how I will set things up (since nobody else is taking the initiative)...however any suggetions or comments on the way i propose how to start the league will help....ok here it is.


I'll start the DSL Test League, everyone that has picked a team will join. After about a week, i think the minumum games that should be played is 5, this will let us differentiate who is serious about finishing and those that just cannot make it happen. After that week, i think we should dissolve the DSL Test League and then make the offical DSL League and invite only those that made the cut...


Does that sound fair? I think thats the best way of handling the situation and giving everyone a chance to make the league. I guess the admins will be me, Danza, Donkey, Huda, GD and for the first time 13ralph...this will just help with game resets and what not.

Danza- Heat with Beasley aka Shaq Beasiel
GD- Bulls
precise- NY Bricks
Huda- Grizzlies + Mayo
Donkey- Raptors
Yayo- Fakers
Cano- pistons
13 ralph-Hornets
Steel - Suns
KuyaPogi- Rockets
Higher - Blazers <----(that team is NICE)
Emelki- Clippers
Pappi Joe - Magic
Macka - Warriors
Hunkulese - Jazz
iGOTjayZZ aka ManiacJay - Mavs

***I think I will start the Test League this upcoming Sunday(10/26) and it will run till the following Sunday(11/2)***

First trade of season is Danza sending D. Wade to GD for D. Rose

Looks like I am the only West Coast dude on the scene again. So with that said my only concern is that lately it's getting tougher to be online any earlier than around midnight (usually later) on the east coast which might cause me to have issues keeping up with games played.

Plus that 14 deep we are running.......like the idea of the test LG but part of me thinks it should not be an option at this point. I think DSL is made up of two types of gamers

Die Hard - love the game and find the time to play or have the time to play.

Casual - love the game just as much but due to other obligation just arent able to keep pace with the rest.

Nothing against any of the guys listed but this year we need to weed out the ones that slow us down. We are good for the most part, maybe its the servers more then the player that prevents them from playing.

I say we go with a deadline of number of games needed. Those who make it move on those who don't make it stay in the test LG. We can always have that LG running for when those guys are able to get on. Plus we don't wanna lose those stats and bragging rights. Maybe SIM to the playoffs for those who made the cut i don't know but would hate to play just 5 games only to start a new one......unless i'm 0-5 then i'm all for it hahaha

If you're still open for more I'd like to get in on the league. Was hoping to be the Raptors or Blazers but I'd take the Jazz.

blazers will dominate the this lg.

Blazers are good!...half of their starting rotation from last year comes off the bench this year.

Blazers are good, Oden - Aldridge (yea we traded him for tyrus) - Roy (yea we took Gordon over Roy) then you have Westbrook* at the Point.......lots of depth on the bench.

Still doesn't compare to my boy Marko Jaric

dudes!! Im loving this game again. Unfortunately I am unable to play tonight because I'm gonna stay at my cousins in Indiana for a partay.. I will be on tomorrow night and I'll be looking for a game...

If ralph wants to be Bulls instead, let me know. I love dem Hornets!! If he doesn't want to switch, I can still run with Da Bulls...since this is just a test anyway, its all good.

PROPS TO MY BOY PRECISE/AKA AROD... Thanks for taking initiative. You dont have to make me admin though since I'll barely be on during the week. I will try my best to get my 5 games in...I'll be playing like crazy on sunday though since DA BEARS are on BYE!!...

Do you guys have rules posted somewhere for your leagues? I know it's a SIM league but does that mean don't use any cheesy plays or take every shot with the same player or do you have more specific stuff?
