Brock Lesnar vs. Frank Mir

Lesnar would have won if they didn't stop it to take a point away...

well unfortionitly they had to, not that he did it on purpose but Mir's stratagy was to get close so Brock couldnt strike. Brock pushed him away a few times but Mir's back of his head was exposed and fighters shouldnt have to worry about protecting it. Brock still had a chance but a minor slip up lost him the match

Any other fight..the fighter would have got a warning first..there was no warning..Mir was in trouble..

Yahoo sports had an interview with the Ref posted and he explained it. Not sure the reason he gave but for soem reason i doubt he was protecting Mir.......either way Brock has a future i think

Just watched it now for the first time, Mir looked like he was in trouble yes but brock also took about 3 swings to the back of his head. One you can see but taking 2 more open shots perhaps the Ref thought htis being his first match it may have not been something he was thinking about......anyway at the 3:40 mark Brock is just standing there thinking "boston crab or figure 4 " and thats when Mir went for the Kill hahaha

From what I saw..only one landed..and thats when the ref stopped it..have you ever seen a fight where the ref takes a point away without a warning? Im not even a big Brock fan..I just think whats fair is fair..

Could be a good rematch if Brock can learn submissions..

The other heavy weights that aren't as well versed on the ground as Mir are in trouble..

no can't say that i have, I'm more of a boxing fan then MMA but even when riddick bowe was throwing low blows it took a couple before he got a warning
