Post by TDANZA420 Mon Dec 24, 2007 12:52 pm

News from Chicago is that Scott Skiles is out as head coach, fired after a poor start and rumor has it the team gave up on him. He did what he could but not able to take us to another level. Hope we land a proven coach that has won and that wants to win again.....Sorry Knicks i am not talkin bout Isiah jajaja

Ouch...but maybe this is for the better... really can't be worse so I'm all in on this... I did like Skiles...kinda rough for him as a person to get the boot on Christmas Eve....but like they say, "There's no crying in Basketball."

Post by TDANZA420 Mon Dec 24, 2007 3:18 pm

I am a fan to but i think he is stubburn. His style works to a point but he doesn't want to adjust anything as in Phx, had some good teams but could never get over the hump and take that extra step. Its for the better of the bulls. We have a young squad that needs some type of leadership. Skiles is a good D oriented coach but maybe his O is lacking. Change is good so i think this makes the bulls a better team. Maybe even better then making a big trade is making a change at the top.

More rumors have Big Ben and Little Ben going to Houston for T-Mac..........can't say i like that move but i would be all for it.......

Perhaps something like Kirt - Ben - Ben for T-Mac - Head and Battier/Scola or a big in return

I would't mind seeing a Larry Brown come in and lead our team. He has worked with Ben Wallace in the past and knows NOT to run the O thru him and knows how to get the most out of him. Flip Saunders benched him in the 4th quarter to in the los to Miami, i doubt Larry would have. He made AI an all-star, made Chauncy Billups who he is today and when in New York just didn't have the talent he needed or wanted. He did come into the season early prior to Isiah making the Eddie Curry trade witch set them back a few years. With Larry Brown i think Kirt will be able to save his career and Gordon may be able to do the same. Bring in a proven winner that has been there before, Paxson might need someone like a Larry Brown to save his a$$. These are his players that he drafted and if he is going to stick by them till the end then he needs to bring in a coach that will save his job

Kidd wont come to Chicago cause we don't have a young PG to offer in return. We have Kirt but Jersey won't want the high salary for the next 4 years that he is owed. Perhaps a Ben Wallace deal but i don't see that workin out either.

Not Sure Kidd would vault us over the top cause he is no longer the 25ppg PG he once was. Plus who will he feed the ball to, Ben gordon hahaha

You right i do wish, I would have made that deal in a heartbeat my friend. GD can critisize me all he wants and call me a hater but I want to see my team make an attempt to win and not just hope to win. Kobe is perhaps the greatest of this era and the ones who said we dont want him in chicago cause he's a ball hog obviously don't watch cause as i stated before and will time after time Kobe's assist have been going up and he averages more then some starting PG's

I would not trade for tmac based on the fact that he used the Bulls in 01-02 (not sure when) as a bargin chip so that Orlando would give him more $$$ After he whined in toranto and Orlando he will start to whine now like the little beyotch he his. Give me a Micheal Redd over that chump - when he isn't injured he is chokin away the game. I veto any trade for Tmac......next offer jajaja

No Tippin Pippen wants a shot....

NBA Rumors Pippen wants to coach Bulls
Monday, Dec 31, 2007 3:40 pm EST
Former Chicago Bulls great Scottie Pippen says he's serious about coaching, and if there is an opening with the Chicago Bulls, he believes he's perfect.

"What's my disadvantage?" Pippen asked. "No NBA coaching experience? [Scott] Skiles' record with the Bulls wasn't that great. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to do what you've done your whole life. I've played basketball, run teams and won.

"They didn't put me at point guard because I could dribble good. They put me there because I could run a team. I wasn't the best dribbler, the best shooter. I wasn't a point guard. But I knew how to run a team."

hahaha talk about throwing him under the bus hahaha

I would like to see a proven veteran coach come in and run the show cause i do think we have talent to win but would love to see no tippen pippen on the bench

I would think its gotta be tough to get a veteran coach to come here with all the young guys we have. The Bulls just need to keep their heads outta their a$$e$. I think we need a real center as well..make Ben a PF and get a big body in the paint to box out, rebound and set picks.

Ben Wallace is a PF but in Detroit was able to play C cause of Sheed and Prince. With no other bigman having a small C hurts us more. Not really anyone out there thou. If we trade Gordon we lose scoring.......can maybe trade nocioni or Noah and a pick or something like that.

Ben Gordan can't finish a game..Kirk can't play good for a whole game..Wallace is way to soft ..he refuses to grab a rebound with 2 hands if a defender is near him..he always tries to slap the ball out..he would have double the rebounds if he would box out better and grab the ball with both hands!! The Bulls need a lot more than a coach!

Strange rumor of the day comes from the Bergen (N.J.) Record, which reported the Nets are talking about acquiring Andres Nocioni and Thabo Sefolosha from the Bulls for a group of second-tier players such as Marcus Williams, Antoine Wright, Bostjan Nachbar and Jamaal Magloire.

There appears to be no interest from the Bulls' side in such a deal, though they surely would listen if New Jersey is ready to deal Jason Kidd or Richard Jefferson. -- Arlington Heights Daily Herald

Marcus williams could be a solid PG and an upgrade from Duhon and a possible replacement for Skirt Hinrich - Wright is a project and needs work. Nachbar is Nachbar and would love to see him in Chitown so i could get his jersey (still looking for a lakers Stanislov Medvedenko so yayo hook me up) and Maglorie would give us a tru center to move Wallace to PF and add some size. Noce is a good player but sometimes change is good. Thabo is still young and needs a chance.

Breaking News from Chicago Empty Re: Breaking News from Chicago

Post by TDANZA420 Thu Feb 21, 2008 4:36 pm

The Cleveland Cavaliers appear to have beaten the NBA's annual trade buzzer to get LeBron James some of the fresh help he's been openly craving.

In a three-way, 11-player trade with Chicago and Seattle that has been submitted for league approval, NBA front-office sources say that Cleveland will come away with four new teammates for James, headlined by Ben Wallace from the Bulls and sharpshooter Wally Szczerbiak from the Sonics.

The league office was notified of the deal before Thursday's 3 p.m. ET trading deadline, sources said, and is currently reviewing the trade details as required for formal approval.

After Cleveland watched two longstanding trade targets land elsewhere -- Mike Bibby in Atlanta and Jason Kidd in Dallas -- sources say that the deal calls for the Cavaliers to receive Wallace, Szczerbiak, Seattle point guard Delonte West, Chicago's Joe Smith and a future second-round pick from the Bulls.

The Bulls, apparently abandoning their gamble on Wallace less than two seasons into the lucrative four-year deal they used to sign him away from Detroit, would get Cavaliers forward Drew Gooden and swingman Larry Hughes along with Cavs reserves Cedric Simmons and Shannon Brown.

The Sonics, shedding Szczerbiak in the name of additional payroll flexibility, come away with the expiring contracts of Cleveland's Ira Newble and Chicago's Adrian Griffin as well as Cavs veteran Donyell Marshall.
